During the history of Alder Stream Township, there have been two post offices.

Briefly, the history of these post offices is as follows:
1. Alder post office was established on 17 May 1899 and closed on 30 November 1901.
2. Round Mountain post office opened on 27 July 1905 and closed on 10 December 1942.
