During the history of the town of Carrabassett Valley, there have been two post offices.

Briefly, the history of these post office is as follows:
1. Bigelow post offices opened on 4 August 1900 and closed on 31 July 1911.
2. Carrabassett post office operated from 28 November 1894 to 15 September 1903; and again from 2 February 1924 to 15 April 1937.

1905 October 30:
   The circular postmark is approximately 29 mm in diameter.
      

1911 July 31:
