During the history of Madrid Township, there have been three post offices.
Briefly, the history of these three is as follows:
1. East Madrid post office opened on 6 January 1890 and closed on 30 June 1908.
2. Madrid post office opened on 28 February 1849 and closed on 15 January 1935.
3. Reed’s Mill post office opened on 19 July 1893 and closed on 14 November 1903.
