During the history of the town of Sorrento, there has been only one post office.
Briefly, the history of this one is as follows:
1. Sorrento post office was established on 5 May 1888 and is still operating.

1927 July 29:
The circular postmark is approximately 33 mm in diameter. The outside vertical height of the four horizontal bars to the right of the circle is 18 mm.
