During the history of the town of Nobleboro, there have been four post offices.
Briefly, the history of these four is as follows:
1. Damariscotta Mills post office opened on 6 September 1825 and closed on 12 December 1862.
2. Glendon post office opoened on 29 June 1897 and closed on 15 September 1920.
3. Nobleboro post office opened on 20 October 1800, closed on 20 December 1804, re-opened on 24 September 1821, closed on 13 April 1868, re-opened on 1 May 1868, and is still operating.
4. North Nobleboro post office opened on 19 March 1888 and closed on 30 March 1907.

The circular postmark is 32–33 mm in diameter. The outside vertical height of the four horizontal bars to the right of the circle is 19 mm.
