During the history of the town of Jonesport, there have been four post offices.

Briefly, the history of these four is as follows:
1. Jonesport post office opened on 5 July 1835, closed on 30 January 1844, re-opened on 15 March 1858, closed on 11 June 1860, re-opened on 30 October 1862, and is still operating.
2. Monsapec post office opened on 6 August 1896 and closed on 14 September 1904.
3. Sealand post office opened on 29 May 1913 and closed on 30 September 1937.
4. West Jonesport post office wa established on 19 February 1887 and on 4 February 1963 it was renamed as West Jonesport Rur. Sta. Jonesport, which closed on 30 April 1977.

1913 December 30 through 1914 March 8:
   The circular postmark is 30–31 mm in diameter.

   The circular postmark is approximately 29 mm in diameter. Note that as late as September 1932, the year was upside down (see lower right image).
